Similarities DC/OS (Mesosphere), Chef, and Puppet

This is great insight, and can see similarities with other platforms that might be opinionated. In case of classic change config, they resisted the cloud and container renaissance, and struggle to find their place.

DC/OS may have similar journey as Diego; now DC/OS embraces K8S as a solution on DC/OS, but 3rd party support for integration solutions dwarfs that in comparison to platforms that are more open and less opinionated, e.g. service meshes, federated SSO, etc.
